Guide to a luxurious trip in Bangkok
Bangkok is FILLED with luxurious places. We didn’t get a lot of chance for luxury whilst backpacking with tight budget, but Sam’s birthday was a great excuse to splash out a bit. This post will share all things luxury that we got up to in Bangkok – hotel, cocktails, shopping and more!

Where to Stay – Casa Nithra
When it comes to hotels in Bangkok you can expect luxury, but you can also expect to pay an arm and a leg for some places. Casa Nithra is the best of everything, not too expensive, super luxurious and in a fantastic location right near the infamous Khaosan Road (but also far enough away from the chaos)!
We stayed in a suit which had a huge bath (which Jordan lived in), a TV with every channel, a huge bed and amazing AC. There’s a rooftop pool with a bar to take you away from the hustle and bustle down below. There’s so much on offer for the buffet breakfast to set you up for the day. The staff are amazing and do everything to make you comfortable. Honestly, I felt a little bad doing things during the day and not making use of the hotel for the full 72 hours we were there. This place is a no-brainer, we’d go back here in a heartbeat! We paid £64/ night for a suite and breakfast, click here to book.

Cocktails
#FindtheLockerRoom – Possibly the coolest cocktail bar ever? and the most hidden bar in the capital of Thailand. You’ll never stumble upon this bar – which is perfectly normal for a speakeasy. Even with its address, you might really never find your way in. It is THAT hidden. Hidden behind an ACTUAL gym locker room, you’ll definitley get an Escape Room vibe! Figuring out how you get behind it is harder than you think. With a little persistence, you’ll enter a dimly lit cocktail cave with the most incredible delights on offer. So much fun… if you can figure out how to get in! Opening hours 20.00pm-02.00am.

Rambuttri Village Plaza – We spent a lot of our evenings around the hustle and bustle of Khaosan road, people watching and stuffing ourselves with street food. Rambuttri Village is opposite the main Soi Rambuttri, down a quieter road with stalls and restaurants. We popped into Rambuttri Village for cocktails as we were passing during happy hour (2-4-1 cocktails), so would’ve been rude not to? Quality cocktails, and even better, they were 2-4-1! This place is also great fro people watching.

Shopping – Siam Paragon
There’s tons of shopping in Siam, the Rama 1 road is nicknamed the shopping mile! Top of our list is Siam Paragon, the mother of all malls! All the big names and high street names are here, there’s even an area dedicated to Thai designers!
The basement houses the largest aquarium in South East Asia?! Ground Floor is a huge food court with restaurants, cafes and bar. You’ll enter through the Main Floor, where you’ll find all the high-end luxury fashion (your Chanels, Diors, Guccis). If shops with no price tags make you anxious, head to the First Floor for all your premium high-street shopping needs (H&M, Zara, Coach). Floors 2 & 3 house lifestyle & Leisure – Salons, home furnishing, luxury car marques. IT World is on Floor 4, where you’re guaranteed to find all the latest tech, and peace of mind you’re buy legit products from official dealers. Finally, Floor 5 houses the Cineplex, with 15 screen IMAX, Bowling alley, and Royal Paragon Exhibition Hall/ Arena. You’ll 100% fill a day exploring this incredible shopping centre!

Pampering – Infinity Spa
It’s so easy to pamper yourself in Bangkok. Almost every road you’ll find somewhere to get a cheap massage! But finding the best place can be hard. I spent hours looking for somewhere; either extortionately priced or had really bad hygiene ratings. I stumbled upon this place on my search, offering a very modern and luxurious spa experience. They’ll welcome you with their signature drink; green tea, fresh lime, organic honey and a splash of blue butterfly flower, and a refreshing bowl of watermelon. Choose your service, then be take to your own private nail room on the third floor! They’ll thoroughly pamper you here! At the end of your treatment, they’ll spoil you with a mango sticky rice served with herbal tea. The service, atmosphere, staff, EVERYTHING is amazing here AND service prices are super reasonable. You’ll leave feeling like a new person! Click here to book.
I was in such state of relaxation that I forgot to take pictures! These pictures are from their Instagram page.

There’s so many options for luxury in Bangkok, and options you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for! If you’re a budget backpacker after a little luxury then Bangkok is a great place to do it. A lot of luxurious places in South East Asia you’ll be paying big bucks for because lots of places they’re few and far between.
