Food Centre
Right in front of the hostel you’ll find a small square with delicious food vendors. Whether you want hotpot, seafood, meat, something sweet, you’re going to find it here and at a very reasonable price! Stroll around the stalls and pick your favourite meal. We went for BBQ fish & meat and got a better deal for picking a selection of things (the more you buy the better the price). Take your number, choose a table and keep your eye out for the guy trying to find you with your food – this square can get very busy so you won’t always be able to get a seat near your stall. Ao Nang
This is the biggest food market in Krabi, where again, you’re going to find something you’ll love. Grab a chang beer from the 7/11 next door (cheaper than the beer stalls)) & wander around the plethora of stalls from savoury to sweet. Grab a table in front the stage and listen to some live music. This market is right on the seafront so we took a stroll after dinner with some more beers. We love food markets and this one was well up there with the best. Directions
1/11
A little away from the main Krabi strip, this hidden gem will have you thinking you’ve taken a wrong turn! Quite far down a dark side road, 1/11 is nestled among… not a lot!!! Stick with the dark, quiet walk because it will all be hustle and bustle inside 1/11 when you eventually get there! We were lucky and only had to wait 15 mins for a table, but it may be worth popping by a bit early and trying to pre-book. Delicious, authentic Thai food, cooked in a tiny kitchen and equally delicious cocktails! Directions
Tan Cafe
Tan is built onto a fancy hostel, but open to all. The breakfast/ brunch options here are amazing and they have the perfect set up for bloggers/ just to get any work done. We bumped into our fav travel bloggers here, Salt in our Hair! Directions
The Last Fisherman Bar
The very last bar (hence the name) on the Ao Nang beach strip is the perfect place to do some blogging, take a dip in the sea and generally just relax! A little more expensive as it’s right on the beach, but worth it for the the location. Great WiFi, plug sockets and super friendly staff. You’ll definitely relax the day away here. Directions
Choose your places wisely here as you can get caught in a tourist trap and NOT worth the arm & leg you’ll be charged. That said, there are some incredible places to eat and generally have a great time at here! Check out our guide to the best beaches in Krabi for some stunning places to relax!
